We try to make the library an inviting space to study. However, because of the number of laptops and other expensive electronic devices, it’s also an inviting space for thieves to do their work.

Every semester many students lose valuables to thieves. Laptop computers are the most common targets, but wallets, backpacks and purses have also been stolen. It takes only a few seconds of inattention for a thief to grab your valuables and disappear.

If you notice any suspicious behaviour amongst library visitors, please do not hesitate to bring your observations to any library service desk so Campus Security can be alerted.
